95.1 Translator

Has anyone noticed the dead air lately on 95.1, the one that's supposed to be relaying "Radio Mujer" from 104.9's HD-4 channel? It's been that way for at least a couple of days.

How about 104.9 HD4? Is it up?

I enabled the HD on my radio, and saw 104.9 HD-4 The audio is horrible on it.

What does it sound like? Is it staticy?

Very low quality mp3 file, almost like 8kbps.

If 8 KBPS is the best stream they can get from Mexico, than no wonder they have 95.1 silent.

8 KBPS is probably all they can cram into an HD-4 channel, and 95.1 must be picking up the HD-4 directly off-air.

Cool. What do you think they'll change the format to now? Or do you think it'll go back up the same way it was?

I noticed this weekend that the 95.1 translator was simulcasting the 97.1 translator's Fiesta Mexicana Internacional format. Technical issues?

Also KTXZ-AM still includes the 95.1 translator in their legal ID. How many months has it been since they parted ways?
