95.1 Wow What A Signal For Such Low Power

95.1 use to be a mexican station in Alvin untill they got a big fine from the fcc. Now a Middle eastern language station runs it there antenna is 400ft high location in the antenna farm off Mchard Rd running like 60w. They have a like 20 to 25 mile range wow how were they able to make the move when Bryan college station has a station on 95.3 running a good amount of power??

It's a pirate. The Fed's can't get the VA hospitals running correctly, let alone bust some pirate. Unless they start to air Alex Jones.

Try 1800 ft high...and 99 watts ERP....the two 60dbU service contours do not overlap so they are legal..KNDE in the B/CS area is on 95.1, not 95.3...same for KYKR in Beaumont...but again, the 1mV contours dont overlap....

Height matters, which is why the 99 watt signal goes so far. Usually a good signal into Cy-Fair, unless tropo from KYKR or KNDE is kicking up.

K236AR might be about to have some of its northern coverage clipped, as it appears LPFM applications for 95.1 in both Spring and Tomball might be approved.

I was wondering if this station was a pirate too. Exceptionally good coverage around Bellaire and River Oaks.

Nope, licensed as K236AR-Missouri City, it re-transmits 1460 KBRZ.
