95.3 Drew

I was in the Delta yesterday and I heard a Jack-like format on 95.3. However, the audio is awful. The music drowns out the vocals, as if something wasn't plugged in right. Must be an MRS Ventures station. When the audio problems get fixed and this is indeed the format, that'll be something good for the Delta.
______________

Yes, it is a Making Radio Sorry venture. There was a post not to long ago here about the flip. Prior to this flip 953 had been classic rock, but had been experimenting with a format called dead air since the MRS take over. Did they have any local liners or jingles? It is a satellite feed format, but still MRS fault for a lousy audio presentation...nothing new with that.
Edited by 937QID on 01/01/06 07:21 AM.

*Sigh* Now why doesn't this surprise me?

To MRS Ventures: KZYQ and WZYQ are NOT on the air! Must be a cold day in radio hell!

Anything vocal-related, be it commercials, liners or singing, I couldn't hear it, so I wasn't able to discern if it was satellite or local.

It's Westwood One's SAM format. The reason you can't hear the vocals is because it's wired out of phase. But that's till better than the usual dead air. MRS = Miserable Radio Stations.

Just listen to it on a mono radio and pretend it's the new Karaoke sing-along format!
