95.3 Party HD2?

Why isn't there a 95.3 Party on HD2?
Miami's still got Party 93.1 on HD2, & it seems to be doing pretty well.

There's no more 96.5-HD2 classic rock, so they have an extra studio or two to broadcast.
Actually, I think they're using one of the studios for intern shows at the moment, which I never got to do last Fall when I was interning with Cox Radio.
So not fair.

At least I still got my WPRK every week & WRSG 91.5/101.7 in WV as my 1st affiliate for my radio show! ;)

Not many HD 2, 3 channels from the Cox crew here in O-town. I think 96 Rock (96.5 HD2) is gone now too. Clear Channel seems to have HD 2 and 3's aplenty.

Gotta have someone on hand (and paid) to program it first. I don't think anyone from the old station is still around to take on such a task, if Cox were even interested.

Thanks for the posting this DJ Mo! I've been thinking this for a while now. Considering that they still have Phil Michaels-Trueba at COX Miami, who programs the Party 931 feed, they do in fact have someone who was around for the 953 Party days. He was programming 95.3 Party before moving to South Florida to launch Party 93.1.

Beasley at one point had two HD Dance streams -- in Philly and Miami. After the launch of 93.1 on the 93.1 HD2 stick, Beasley shuttered their Miami Dance stream. Would be easy enough -- and more importantly, more cost effective -- to change the liners and use the same playlist, but ideally they would customize Party/Orlando's HD2 to more closely mimic the Dance/breakbeat/hip hop fusion that Party/Orlando was known for.

I'm sure there are more than the two of us who would like to see it happen.

I'd actually want to become a part of it if I got the opportunity.
I currently play some of what used to play at 95.3 Party on my radio show at WPRK-FM 91.5 here in Orlando.
I still get people calling in to say "thanks" & they're diggin' the music.
Since 2005, I only got 2 negative calls, ever, when I played...
1- Goo Goo Dolls
2- Duran Duran
In fact, a few of the songs in those 95.3 Party compilations are most requested during my show.
(Yes, I keep a log of requests & calls I get about the music I play. Real music testing performed here!)
Interesting you said "Dance/breakbeat/hip hop fusion", because that's kind of what my show has morphed into since its debut a few years ago.
I've been told many times from callers, listeners, & fans that they want a full-time "DJ Mo" FM radio station.
If I ever get a chance to program a radio station, or enough money to buy a good FM radio station signal...

I got an idea. Why not just flip it back to 95.3 party? I bet you it would work. I'd just love to see the reaction to that. Or just make an awesome internet station. You could reach more people on it. Just set up a shoutcast or icecast server and go from there.

Yeah, sure, even though you get much better ratings and bill lots more money with this format, just flip it back to the old one. Not like they're running a business or anything.

www.party931.com they have been back as an HD-2 since early 2008 and currently have live mix shows friday and saturday nights... theres even a logo of party 95.3 on their pictures section in their official facebook fan site
