95.3 The Buzz

Yes I'm a little unclear on what is required these days myself. I thought it had something to do with how much you said you'd do. Come to think of it, it is a little odd that EMF has many main studio wavers for most of their stations, but I remember there was one station that lost its lease on the transmitter site and I don't remember if they lost the studio as well, but in any case they applied for and were denied a main studio waver.

I believe that anyone from the public can call the FCC and complain that the station is not providing enough of a service to the community. I'm sure that its extremely rare for any of those complaints to actually be filed, but I think its possible.

Just because you might not like a radio station's programming, that doesn't mean they're not serving in the public's interest. Just ask Brent Bozell.

Considering that the station is christian, and that its non commercial, it probably is exempt from having to serve the community through information and PSA

I was back on the west side again today and heard no "buzz". CKZZ, KXLE and KGY's translator (heard near Denny Creek/Tinkham on I-90 actually)
