95.3 WMSK

Well, looks like our Evansville Move in signal is still trying to move in. Now a new target of 2009 is the goal for getting it on air.

Like I said, I sure hope it will be more useful then just being the 5th country outlet in Evansville. Mabye Regent acquires it and moves WGBF-FM there:)

Of course SC could acquire 95.3 and move the Wolf there:(<P ID="signature">______________

Perhaps they waiting until the FCC approves, or denies, their still-pending April 2004 license renewal application before attempting to sneak out of Union County, Kentucky to take on the big dogs at SC:)

> Do you think Regent will lease to direct competiton??? I don't think so... Their best bet is to find a new tower location and go for another amendment on a "CP"....And Regent is at it's ownwership max or over in the market... So don't look at this happening too quickly or at that sight... The last time they tried the LMA with non-local Union County programming, it almost cost them their hand to mouth support in Morganfield, Sturgis, Waverly and Uniontown..The "They will tie your ass to a flat car and send you up the Monon line, Mister.." type of attitude from the locals (quote from the movie: "Hoosiers")....

According to one of the documents on file at the FCC, during that LMA period, the station's owner and general manager each referred to the LMA format, which was urban oldies, as "(racial slur) music".

Since this thread features quotes from movies, the term was used by Richard Pryor in "Silver Streak", "... you don't know me well enough to call me a ------..." (Clearly, not a quote from "Hoosiers").

Is there any wonder that their license hasn't been renewed?

> Interesting??? I did not know of that 'on file'.... Of course, it might be 'He said, She said' in the renewal debate... I guess we'll find out someday....
