95.3 ???

Recently I started picking up 95.3 in the I-10 & Beltway area on my way home out to Katy Has this station been around and I am just now noticing it?
 
Station is just dead air now during the day it is r&b night it is rap with a dj/mc. Just started hear this station on tuseday I think it is the one that was on the same frequency bac in 99 to early 01 with same dj/mc station calls itself boom boom room.

And would they have reported it to the FCC? In a case such as this, how long would it take for the FCC to act or find the transmitter location?

Stan, You'll have to ask them. Vide0Chik in Dallas would love this. The Chik tracks 'em down and photographs them and posts them on the Dallas board.
 
I normally run my sirius FM modulator on 95.3 and drove down westpark tollway earlier this afternoon....this pirate was completely overpowering my fm modulator's signal near Westpark Tollway @ Gessner. I then took BW8 up to I-10, and it caused interference all the way to BW8 @ Westheimer.

Chuck, help me out with a bit of my own ignorance. I thought HD gave an increment to the left of the dial, and an increment to the right of the dial. Which for 95.7, would be 95.5 and 95.9 respectively. How does 95.3 fit in with your response? Thanks.
 
95.3 and 95.9 are 1st adjacency frequencies. The second adjacenies are 95.3 & 96.1. However the 96.1 has been on since lat fall, as far as I know. So far, nobody has done anything.

The pirate on 95.3 is the strongest Pirate signal that I've ever picked up since I've been in Houston. The signal is very strong near Beltway 8 and 59 South.I can actually hear the station from my house in the Heights area inside the loop. I noticed lots of explicit lyrics. I can't believe they are playing that garbage over the air.Something definitely needs to be done asap.
 
Leave these station alone narcs there the best stations on the air
 
Other than the station is illegal & you do not like them why do you guys feel the need to turn these stations in do they harm you in any way no. Is it beacuse you want to feel special please give these type of stations a change before you narc on them.
 
Do you rat on people running stop sings or speeding if not you should & leave these stations alone.I think anybody that rats on pirates is no better than some that kills 3 people or sells drugs to kids. Damn you guys have no life if you did you would worry about bigger & better things. Here is something you can do in you spear time to start a neighborhood watch group & go fight crime in your neighborhood. Pirate radio is less of a crime that speeding pirate to nothing to know one damn you guys need to get a life, radio will be dead in 5 to 7 years only thing on the radio will be pirates.
 
The problem is the pirate on 95.3 is broadcasting rap/hip-hop music with EXPLICIT LYRICS over the air. Anyone within range can hear it on their radio. Especially young children. It has to go.

Yes, as a matter of fact I do "rat" on on people running stop "sings" (whatever that is) and speeders. And why, may I ask, would I be stupid enough to start a neighborhood watch group and fight crime, if I'm busy killing 3 people and selling drugs to kids, remember? That's what guys with no life do man... we get bent outta shape over this issue.Oh, and your point was....what, again? Oh yeah, pirates will rule the world......Sounds like a bad "Pinky & The Brain" fantasy, dude. You really should take the some personal time to recalibrate. Drink some Red Bull & Jagermeister. Childern do not listen to radio any more they spend all there free time watching tv or playing videos games Lets all stop this hating can't we all just get a long you being narcs turn off your radio you can do that.If part15 would allow for more power I mean a decent ammount them we would not be doing this .LPFM is a joke & there is no way in hell that some joe who sends in a fm app to apply for a station will ever get one. Pirate radio is the only what for us to get on the air plan & simple if the rules where less strict then we would not go pirate at all.
 
Illegal means IllegalLegal means legalwhat part of that don't you understand. I know how people that run these illegal stations feel, but they should try broadcasting their programming somewhere else (E.I. Internet). Shure, I also get kind of ticked off because I know that I will most likely never own a station, but we all have to understand that life is never fair. These Illegal pirates should find another way to broadcast what they want.
