I will not continue in this thread. I agree, Radiodial, it is serious and laughable at the same time. Even with the facts presented, Brian just doesn't get it it. I'm not going to waste my time with it this any further. I've made my point and it's clear and correct.

I'm a little late jumping in on this topic. You are 100% correct. We cannot have rogue radio transmitters infriging on the signals of real radio stations.In the event of a disaster, either natural or manmade, we can't have these pirate stations interfering with the broadcast of information. In that way, those pirate stations could be seen as endangering the public, and in the event of a terrorist attack in Houston, on a refinery for example, these pirate stations could be seen as aiding the terrorists.I hope the men in black find every one of these pirate stations nationwide. Fine the criminals into the poorhouse, and throw them in jail for a long time.Also, the pirate stations that play music, sure don't pay BMI or ASCAP! 8)Chuck Tiller said:

I work near Bissonnet and 59 South and the signal from 95.3 is very strong. I could here it splatting or bleeding over on adjacent frequencies 95.5 and 95.1. They were playing alot of rap music with bad language. The sound quality was extremely bad. It sounded like the volume level was too high and alot of the broadcast was distorted.
Perhaps they were distorting the broadcast to cover up the "bad words". :ShaneofTexas said:

I know that in Florida, they've taken "pirate hunting" to a new level, involving the state in shutting folks down. It's a bad, bad problem in the Miami area, from what I've read on other boards.
