I am not going to comment on the current ownership of 95.3, because I really don't know them. BUT...
The larger problem of 95.3 is bigger than one owner. The graveyard is littered with headstones of broadcasters who fail to understand that 95.3 is not now, nor ever will be, a Memphis radio station.
WVIM is a Class A with a transmitter near Hernando. It delivers a useable signal to most of DeSoto County, but covers little of Shelby County. There is <a href="
http://www.radio-info.com/smf/index.php/archive/money">money</a> to be made in DeSoto County, one of the fastest growing in America, but that fact seems to slip by management. Still today, WVIM is tagged as :
"Memphis Greatest Hits."
It just seems basic. Hey, maybe it's just me.
