Also, not knowing where Ms Music Radio resides my first thought was the translator in West Tampa. However, there is another 13.5 watt translator in Pinellas Park repeating WJIS 88.1 from Bradenton, also owned by RTN if she calls S. Pinellas county home.
Otherwise, it could be a part 15 station playing the soundtrack from Disneys Pirates of the Carribean- Yo ho ho ho, a pirates life for me! A REAL pirate station! aaaaaaarrrrrrrggggggh.
Mark, their engineering report in their app is interesting reading on the FCC database. It involved a freq change after they went silent and had to move TX sites. Their 40db contour overlap is mostly over Tampa Bay but VERY close to the Pinellas Park repeater where it is over land. Since all are RTN properties, no foul called, but if it were me in Pinellas Park I would have yelled at least a little. Looks like they came back on the air on the new freq in late Aug, early Sept 2009. It appears to be licensed, was originally W290BJ.
There are two translators on 95.3 in the area, one in Pinellas County, the other near Raymond James Stadium. Both were granted licenses with the understanding that they not interfere with either WWRM on 94.9 or WBTP on 95.7. If you are receiving interference to either of these stations, you should notify Cox for WWRM and Clear Channel for WBTP, so they can file a complaint with the FCC.

Apparently this frequency is for music that plays in-sync with someone's Christmas lights at their home in North Pinellas. :

That doesn't surprise me since both stations are full-power co-channels licensed as primary FM services, and both stations are located within 100-miles of Tampa Bay. WXCV "Citrus 95.3" is a class A FM located just up the road North of the Bay. It's tower and transmitter site is located between Homosassa Springs and Crystal in Ozello; while WPYO "Power 95.3" is a class C3 licensed to Maitland and serving Orlando. It's tower and transmitter site, if I am not mistaken, is located in downtown Orlando atop the Suntrust building.
For what it's worth Radio-locator has the WPYO site co-located with WHTQ in Pine Hills at the old Q96/WHOO building. When they bought it the station had been a really small signal doing religious programming and the stick was way out in Ocoee or thereabouts.
WMMO, also owned by Cox, was originally on the Suntrust Building but now shows at the Pine Hills site as well. (I'm sure they own the real estate, so no costs to lease tower space.)

Apparently both stations moved the tower sites. I was not aware if either were stiil downtown atop the Suntrust building or not, but it makes good business sense to operate from owned property located off Silver Star Road rather than pay lease unless the leased site is a better location.

WTLN-FM was also originally licensed to Apopka, but was re-licensed to Maitland when it was acquired by Cox Radio. The original call letters were WTLN-FM and programmed a variety religious minitrstry programs along with lite MOR music.
In 1998 Tom Moffit traded WTLN-FM with Cox Radio for WZKD-AM 950. Cox also paid Moffit a substantial amount of cash. AM 950 became the new WTLN while the former WTLN-AM became WHIM. Both stations are now owned by Salem Communications while Cox still owns WPYO-FM 95.3 (formerly WTLN-FM).

The "Party" is no more, having flipped to urban/hip hop Power 95.3 sometime ago. However, it has always been programmed by someone within the Cox Radio group since 1998 when Cox acquired the former WTLN-FM from Tom Moffit's Alton Rainbow Corporation and transformed it to WPYO.
