95.7 FM is now X-mas music. but what will happen at the end of the year?

so 95.7 is playing Christmas music but is it going to stay a rythmic station or going to change formats at the end of December? is This seasonal format a buffer for another failed format LOL.:cool:

Yeah, it's not like KYXY going all-Christmas is it? Looks like something designed to blow out whatever KISS audience they had. I have to say I liked KISS but since I'm way outside their hoped-for demos, that's probably not good.

They still have the morning jock doing KISS-like banter, but its doesn't sound quite right when the song being introduced is LITTLE DRUMMER BOY.

i like the format they have currently, wished they did it in LA but they dont, that would be a real treat, i also like magic 92.5 compared to hot 92.3, San Diego people have it good down there.

Looks like they went to the same old same old...much better before the change, tired of the way cc treats their listeners

Not the same old same old music, but the same old same old ratings. 1.7 in January book... Identical to their ratings prior to Christmas music last year. Hope they don't wait another year to fix it. Would be great if they went CHR/Rhythmic and sold it with Channel 933.

Well, it looks like 95.7 Kiss-FM is gaining in the ratings. In the March '14 ratings, it's tied at #15. Not great but much better than the one-point-somethings Kiss had been generating. San Diego's original Rhythmic AC station, XHRM Magic 92.5 is #10. And look who's #1: KIFM, which left the Rhythmic AC format last year to go Soft AC. I don't know how they're doing in the 25-54 demo but being #1 6+ is a success.

It didn't make sense at first for Clear Channel to put a third Rhythmic AC station in the San Diego market. But KIFM's format switch has probably moved some Rhythmic AC listeners to 95.7.

KISS and KIFM are essentially tied at 15th in 25-54.
