no more imus in bangor....I-95 has dropped him, no mention of him at all on their website. He's been on that frequency for over 10 years and visited Bangor once or twice during the 90's

It's about time some of these stations stand up and put decency back on the priority list. There's no need for racist joking or talk EVER in radio. It doesn't matter what he's done or what his show stands for. It doens't make his comment right. It ruins radio. What happened to the creative side of radio? Good for I95! They'll survive!

and they've been advertising for a Morning Star!

interesting because they've never had jocks on the station since they dumped oldies a year and a half ago or so

Responds to Curb's question:

Whatever happened to the creative side of radio?

My answer....

Creativity was replaced by corporate investors who didn't care what type of programming went out over the airwaves...just as long as the product could be obtained CHEAPLY! :(

Morning Star needed in Bangor, Maine!
I-95, Bangor’s Home for Classic Hits is looking for great morning communicator! Your ability to connect with our audience is more important than your knowledge of the music format. Will you have something valuable to say every time you open the mic? Only those who strongly believe in showprep, topicality, and locality are encouraged to apply. E-mail your resume and demo (NO LONGER than 5 min please) to [email protected] Serious inquiries only. No “Ricky Radio” or egomaniacs allowed!

Apparently grammar and spelling are optional at I-95 as well. Hello everybody!

I'm sorry, but what was misspelled again?

And other than a misplaced "a" which is usually conveniently dropped to save space in a print ad, (i.e. to save money) I'm not sure what grammar is poor.

LOL, can you imagine a station that only desires "Ricky Radio" types? ;D
