95.7 in Poughkeepsie? Here we go again....

The Sound of life is on yet another wasted translator but this time on 95.7 in Poughkeepsie. looks like my XM Roady will have to find another channel to broadcast on around the house.
The FCC should really look into pulling the plug on these translators. there popping up like cell phone towers around the Hudson Valley

W234AY 239 D FX 95.7 MHz CP MOD POUGHKEEPSIE

ROLLS. Sound of life needs a translator for every town in the Hudson Valley! The problem is nobody listens to them! There goes getting PLJ from the city.

I have it from a very reliable source that Disneyfanatic made a transmitter out of his microwave and what you are hearing is him trying to get somebody to switch WBPM's dial position to 94.3...somebody said that you can get the signal on uranus....any truth to this????

Here is a link to a coverage area where the "Sounds of Life" can be heard on this frequency 95.7. Originally it was W239BL prior to the call letter change to W234AY.

I hear 95.7 down here in Newburgh mixing with the pirate station here.

Such a waste. 88.3,94.1 and 106.5 is ALL sound of life in Newburgh.

At least Star 99.1 from Central NJ left this area. That station had NO reason to be in the Hudson Valley. Why can't these translators at least relay a useful station??????

I wonder if they should put "Sounds of Life" in New York City on a new translator someday except maybe Putnum and Westchester to have the "Sound of Life" on different frequencies.

Fire at will!
