Is this station owned by a large church?

I know there a 25KW station and judging by the background noise that I hear (sounds like a talk station) between songs, I say it's locally owned.

Anyone know about it?

WGCX I think are the call letters.

To answer your questions, here they are:

1. No they're not (Pensacola Christian Radio owns them)
2. WGCX is their calls (Been that Way for a while now)

For more info about this station visit this link: http://www.praise95.net/

Hope this info helps.

What is this talk station that I hear in the background? Do they own more then 1 station?

The station is operated by the Glitners. The studios are in Pensacola, The noise you hear in the back is crosstalk from their AM.

One of the last mom and pop though. I wish they would get rid of the crosstalk.

Thanks.

I have no idea what goes on behind the scenes on radio. I listened to it after Ivan and that was it. Radio here is ok but half of the stations don't come in here that well except maybe 3. Art Bell can't be heard on 1260 (and were still in the +16dB at night) Unless theres ducting, I listen on 870 (with the RR IDs in the background) or on 1370.
