95.7 Off the Air

According to the dentist's board, 95.7 which is running WVOS-FM on 95.9 is still off the air. What's wrong with that? I was checking through the stations that 95.7 is still running WVOS-FM. Maybe you should try WEOK and WGNY-AM to get the oldies on these two stations.

95.7 And 94.1 were off the air since the height of Thursday’s snowstorm, but they are back on as of last night broadcasting WVOS. Since they were off for several days and southern Dutchess, and Orange Counties got hammered by the storm I think either they had some storm damage to their receiving equipment or had no electric power to it , thus affecting both repeaters .

Last night WVOS was on both 95.7 and 105.7 loud and clear. Just as good at TOC in that they are running something that offers a choice rather than repeats something available at 10 other dial positions.

Anyone know what these arrangements are? It certainly wouldn't suck if these guys stayed on for a while.

I always make it a point to listen to WVOS in my travels up 17. Last night I had to double road check the signs to make sure they said Taconic Parkway.

Where is the 105.7 translator relaying WVOS coming from? This is not one of the 3 that were repeating TOC the last I checked. While 95.7 of course by far the strongest all 3 come in Hyde Park. The closest translator on 105.7 I found was in W289BE NY ,ELLENVILLE owned by DIGITAL RADIO BROADCASTING the same as the other 2 94.1 and 95.7 but a translator there couldn’t possibly reach Poughkeepsie, could it ? Full Power WKIP-FM doesn’t even come in much better.

105.7 is on sams point, a few hundred feet away from 99.3. 99.3 should still be stronger in hyde park than 105.7. for fm, height is everything!
