95.9 Kiss FM Y-town Changes

New changes for WAKZ 95.9 KISS FM. I see they have 2 new personalities, Tina & Diaz are both gone (anyone know why?), and the website is completely different. I find their new website a bit jumbled & busy, though. I liked the old one better. Also, why did Jerry Mac go to nights & give up his day position?

It just got colder at the South Ave. Studios

First off, Diaz left over a month ago. They have been filling in with Jagger and Cooper off and on. And Jerry Mac most likely gave up his position b/c he has all the programming to do. The website looks fresh and different but unfortanatly if you look at other CC websites across the country you will see the same basic layout.
All that said, I think it is crazy that this station pulls these huge numbers this last book and then they decide to not replace the night show with a live body. Oh well, thats CC for ya.

Oh My..

Oh my... Don't open your mouth if you don't know what you're talking about.

Tina is still there, she still does KISS appearances and is still on sister rock station 93.3 WNCD's middays. Krissy Taylor is a great addition to the staff in middays with a connection to the Youngstown area, Jerry is the PD of two radio stations in that building and has, after being there as long as he has, certainly earned the right to take himself off the air and focus on programming WAKZ and WMXY. Since KISS, unlike (Not so)Hot 101 tries to keep a voice on the air around the clock, VT'd or not, Jerry is tracking the overnight... What's your beef with that?

Nights... Yes, Jagger and I have been filling in, on and off. But, it's not what you'd call permanent, as Jerry is (to the best of my knowledge) still searching for a live night jock to replace Diaz...

... Who jumped up about 20 or so markets to go to sister station 95.5 The Beat in Melbourne, Florida.

Happy now? I mean, since you made the appearance of knowing all about WAKZ and the situation there..

Wait... That was your first post...

Why do I get the feeling that you are either employed by a certain station in Alliance or somewhere in the building at 4040 Simon Road?

Nothing to see here, folks...

Re: Oh My..

Sorry about that, I guess I was a little harsh. I don't work at Hot or even in the business at all as a matter of fact. Anyways, I hope they do find a new live jock for KISS, until than, for what its worth, I think you are much better on air Aaron.

Whoops! Hey man, I wasn't referring to you... LOL

I was referring to "AvidEar" when I made the comment about being a newly registered poster! :) I've seen your posts before.

No harm meant... Thanks for the kind words!<P ID="signature">______________

Re: It just got colder at the South Ave. Studios

I still like the idea of switching 95.9 and 93.3 and calling the new station 93-3 AKZ.

I wasn't opening my mouth up about anything. Why are you flapping at the wind? I was just asking what was going on at 95.9 Kiss. I enjoy the station & the music. I had been away recently, and when I returned, I just happened to come about the changes & wondered what was up. I did not say anything bad, I was just inquiring & hoping someone decent enough, obviously not you, would answer back about the changes. All you had to do is reply to the questions in my post, not go off on a rampage about misinformation. I just mentioned what I noticed and hoped that someone would fill me in. So, if you can't be nice, don't reply. I just happened to notice they didn't have Diaz or Tina (& I know she's on 93.3) on their website. I was wondering if they quit the station, moved on up the ladder or worked strickly for a sister station, and the same goes for Jerry Mac. I know he does a lot over there & I thought he might be doing other things & need the time to do so. But I did not want to jump to those conclusions without actually finding out, so I thought I would ask!

Re: Oh My..

Tina is hot and I used to know her. She also has a great voice for radio.
