95.9 Spanish?

What station is operating on 95.9 in Dallas? I have consistently heard Spanish language programming on the signal.

It's a translator from Garland that has been talked about quite a bit on this board. It appears to be the originating station and not a translator.

I was getting a city-grade signal in Lucas (East of Allen) this afternoon. In fact, this "translator" was coming in better than full-power KERA-FM

When driving east on 30 in the mornings Justin Frazell starts speaking Spanish around Six Flags. I can't understand him either way...

From the thread title I thought LKCM finally gave out and sold the Ranch to the Spanish 95.9 people..

I really wish we could get the FCC to check out K240DS 95.9 in Garland. I'd love to be able to listen to KFWR in my car on the fringes without K240DS overpowering it. If K240DS is playing by the rules, fine. If not, go away!

Easy, file a complaint to the FCC, and if enough are done maybe the compadres they have on the FCC will stop looking the other way.

Last time I tried complaining about a similar situation directly to the FCC, they wrote back and told me that I'm not allowed to file a complaint, only the station being interfered with can and that I had to complain to/through the station being interfered with.

I have been working around Emory TX the past 4 weeks and there is no spanish audio on 91.5.

Maybe a quick call to the FCC offices in Dallas to have them tune they scanners/monitors.

I was reading another thread about the maximum distance of a 950 Mhz, maybe k240ds engineers know something about a new way to send a signsl from point A to point B without anything on point A...

This has all been covered before. Even if the supposed originating station on 91.5 is on the air there's no way that puny signal could be received at the 95.9 transmitter site.

The FCC rules don't allow alternative methods for relaying a station in the non-commercial portion of the band by a translator in the commercial part of it. Feeding the translator with a microwave link wouldn't be legal without a waiver, and they don't have one.

Anyway, I don't think they do something after all this years, even with the physics laws been broken, they still on the air...

Hahaha...I meant that more as a joke. Love the show. It's my first go-to when the Ticket is on a commercial break. (sorry...day one P1...can't quit it) I miss Taylor...you two had good chemistry, I thought. I find myself doing yard work late on Sunday afternoons for some reason and your show has helped get my mind off the heat over the last month or so.

No worries. I laughed! Thanks for the kind words. It was tough losing Taylor because of the momentum we'd built. Hopefully the new girl??? will transition easy. Thanks for listening. I sincerely appreciate it!

It has been more that a month that KYFA-FM is of the air, but I don't see a STA for that...

aaarrrrgggghh, never mind, if they file for the STA they have to turn off 95.9
