95.9 Terre Haute is now...

95.9 The Valley (Retro Hot AC?)

I don't quite know the format yet but I was able to pull them in (only while driving north and south in Tuscola) and they played a 70's classic hit, Men At Work song, and a 90's hit - Tom Cochran "Life is a Highway". Sounds like a Jack-Fm like format or closer to Champaign's 92.5 The Chief or Indy's 107.9 The Track. Kind of a Jack-Fm without the currents (60s-90s). I call it Jack-Fm oldies/retro. I haven't heard enough to pinpoint it though. Anyone in TH can help? Matt Luecking?
Edited by Z on 03/23/06 04:39 PM.

It is very reminiscent of The Track, but for now it seems to be jockless. Seems to be very 70s and 80s focused.

I got to listen to it today and they are using this positioning statement:

"Great Rock n Roll from Yesterday and Today" The New 95.9 The Valley

Maybe a little competition with 105-5 The River.

Speaking of the Track...will it work?

For a new station...I have seen or heard very little in the way of promoting it. Will it take off?
