95.9 The Taco

This was the most unusual pirate ive ever heard. I was picking it up [in my house again]
It was playing Rock and Country mostly. With a few disco songs inbetween. Played alot of Metallica, Def Leppard, Led Zeppelin, Johnny Cash, Pantera, pink Floyd, ect. Really good though.
Has anyone else picked up this? I think ive also heard it on 99.9 FM

Hey, at least its a better format than most of the legal crap on the airwaves...

..and watch radiochik and her funbusting equipment swoop down on this in 3..2..1..

Its On Right now at the moment 2:19PM. Currently Playing
Disposable Soldiers-Metallica
Its not In Stereo. Sometimes there is Stereo Sometimes theres Not.
Currently on 95.9FM and 99.9FM
Stereo on 95.9FM
Mono on 99.9FM at the moment.

You know radiochick will be here soon. It is over riding The Ranch here in Carrollton Texas where I can usually get The Ranch nice and clear. and from what ya'll are talking bout it doesn't sound like anyones FM transmitter for an MP3 player to me. As I said Radiochick will be on here soon enough to help with this

More like party poop on ;)

I know, signal piracy is bad...But like I said, its better than anything on "legal" radio.

Is it over riding "The Ranch"?

If it is, that will get the FCC involved faster than anything else...IF they werent interfering, the commission takes its slow a** time........(because they allow "legal" interference in the form of IBOC on AM :)

I'm not sure if any of you guys are aware, but... there is a country station on the 95.9 FM dial from Sulphur Springs that calls themselves "Star Country". I don't know if they play the kind of rock music that most of you have heard on the dial interfering with the Ranch; but if anything, it seems to me that it's more of a weather-related issue than it is an issue of "piracy". I might be wrong, but it does seem weird that, being just 10 miles east of Greenville, I've noticed that ALL of the stations from the Cedar Hill towers have come in a little too "snowy" lately, so I'd check up on that.

If there is a station called "Star Country" and it's playing Metallica and Def Leppard. Something aint right.

"The Taco"....hehe, nice. Is there a DJ on there or just drops saying "95.9 The Taco"?

In Greenville, you should pick up Star 95.9. Its all automated on an "E"machine with a feed from Waitt Network in Omaha. On spring mornings when its humid The Ranch blanks them out even in Sulphur Springs.

haven't heard a DJ yet.
Their "95.9 The Taco" Jingle they use sounds very similar to a "99.5 The Wolf" Sing Jingle I've heard.
