950 ESPN Radio to make MAJOR announcement this week !!!

According to 950espn.com, the "geniuses" at Greater Media have a major station announcement this week as we approach football season.

I wonder what this could be ?

I guarantee it ends up being something mediocre, and whatever it is...it wont sound like a major market production.

More local programming ?
Probably with an ex-Eagle ?

Certainly won't beat Ike and Hugh in the players lounge on WIP.
Even though those 2 are no bargain.

Let's speculate shall we !
 
I bet they're adding an extra hour of Res-Q-Healthline. That would be sweet.
 
The announcement will probably go something like this:

"950 ESPN is dead...



















... dead serious about giving away Eagles tickets!"

Still....its a pretty good name for them to get. Dawkins was a big name last season, but Westbrook is even bigger. I dont know that he will be a more compelling guy on the radio, but he might get more fans out to the bar.

Will this help make a dent in the ratings ? No...But its about branding as I mentioned before and this is just another nice brand name to add...its another step, but the lengths are so wide still.
 
Mondays 7-8 PM.. Isn't that the same exact time when WXTU does their own Eagles remote show with an Eagles player?
