95sx #1 Hit Music Channel

Should 95sx drop using #1 Hit Music Channel if they want to be more Hot AC and less CHR/Top 40? I believe they should. B 92 needs to start using Charleston's #1 Party Station "The Hot New B 92". As for 95sx they even say they are going to Hot AC so thats why they dropped songs like Buy You A Drink, Party Like A Rock Star, and Shawty. Sure I still think B 92 is still competion for 95sx but also B 92 is competing with Z 93 Jamz. As for 95sx that could be a reason for dropping the hip hop songs because you can hear that on Z 93 their sister station.

Also the former Sunny 96.9 listeners didn't go to 95sx. They aren't soft rock at all like 96.9 was. I believe some went to Chuck 96.1 and Y 102.5. And Chuck needs to go AC I think and become Soft Rock 96.1

Hmmm, didn't B92 lean more Rhythmic when they first signed on compared to the current top40/pop playlist? IMO, B92 should've been Z93's competion instead of 95SX from the start. I always remembered 95SX playing some of the top40 Rhythmic hip-hop songs even though Z93 is their sister station. I don't see B92 trying to take some of Z93's pie anymore since they are now the ONLY Hit music station in the Chuck.

What station is next.......

You know where listeners went already? You have the numbers?

Of COURSE some went to Chuck and some went to Y. Some probably went to the urban AC's and some may have stayed with the Wolf. If you have numbers indicating who went where, please share.

Obviously the idea behind the redirect promos on Sunny (sending listeners to 95SX) was in hopes they would stay and be fans of the station. Obviously Citadel knows a good portion of the listeners will scan around til they find a station suitable to their tastes; you can't blame them for trying to keep as many listeners as they can in-house as the transition occurred.

I said I believe some went to Chuck 96.1 and Y 102.5. I didn't say people went to Chuck and Y. It was just my opinion where I think former Sunny 96.9 listeners would go. thanks

B92 is now using '#1 Hit Music Channel'

95SX has been off the air for over 24 hours. Right before they went off (Wednesday afternoon) they sounded low powered and wasn't coming in-in stereo. There was a few thunderstorms that went through on Wednesday, I don't know if that affected them or not.

Well last check as of around 8pm last night, they were on but at low power. I believe WNKS out of Charlotte kept sticking it's nose in, and little traces of WAPE as well.

YES! Here in Savannah, GA I was pulling in WNKS well tonight. At one point I was parked in my car and they were booming in almost like a local. Not bad for a station 250-ish miles away, even one at 100,000 watts; I'm sure it wouldn't have been possible if the weather hadn't been a mess and SX hadn't been down.

And by the way, has anyone noticed the changes to SX's playlist? Their powers have always spun relatively few times, but now they might be the lowest on any monitored CHR in the country - their most played song is "Bubbly" with 41 spins this week.
