95SX - 2005 Playlist Running In Overnights

So I turned on 95SX just before 1AM and was mildly surprised to hear Uncle Kracker's "In A Little While," a song I imagine they played quite a bit back in the day but that really has no place on 2009 CHR radio. Anyway, I chalked it up to WSSX's occasional conservatism, figured it was a drop song and moved on. Then came the TOH, followed by Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together" and The Killers' "All These Things That I've Done."

That's when I figured something was up. I checked the yes.com logs, and since midnight, a playlist consisting almost entirely of songs from 2005 (including stiffs SX played such as Ingram Hill's "Almost Perfect") has been airing. What on earth is going on? Did the MD decide to have a little fun? Did the music scheduling software or automation go bananas? Something isn't adding up, but if I'm a late night CHR listener I'm wondering where the hell Lady Gaga is and heading to B92.

Both top 40 stations go back and forth with B 92 doing better I believe. Maybe 95sx wants to try Hot AC or even AC. Wouldn't hurt I think. Hot AC would work. Wasn't 95sx surpose to sound different after Sunny went to The Wolf. They did take out the hip hop for a little while.

Might've just been a default log in their system from a current day's log failing to be shipped or something along those lines.

even computer systems need updates. probably engineering taking care of bid-ness. it is 1am probably not critical.

Do they run Scott Studios?
Scott has something called a default log. If a log is not loaded by Midnight, it will run that log. Might even hear some old imaging, depends on how much they'd changed the clocks since the time.
If your default log is refreshed every once in a while, you won't notice.

...of course, if the PD/MD/whoever, loads the log, you won't notice then either!
