95X In Last Place

New PD and the same old story!
12+ it's TK99,K-Rock and 95X in that order. 18-34 Men it's K-Rock Number 1.25-54 Men it's B-104 followed by TK 99.
Third in a three rocker market begs the question of how long will the brass at Citadel allow this to continue.

So I suppose the fact that KROCK and X are TIED for 8th in the market makes them last too??? Begging (seriously what kind of pompus D-B would use a phrase like "Begging the question" anymore) the question what does Ed Levine put in the water on Walton Street???

Aside from the fact that NO ONE buys based on 12+ numbers. In EVERY demo category that matters to an agency X is ahead of KCOCK.

Dude relax,we are just stating facts.95X loses to both TK and KROCK 12+ overall M-Sun 12+.Those are the facts.
KROCK beats 95X in MEN 18-34,WOMEN 18-34,PERSONS 18-34 OVERALL....that would appear to be all 3 of the demos that 95X "targets" and we use that word loosely. In the "older" demos 95X is TK 99's bitch so you are screwed there too.
But our favorite is the dive that X took in morning drive.OUCH!! Time to fire the morning guy,LOL!
If you listen quietly, you can hear Rascal Flatts warming up in the background.

Oh yeah. Bring back the fantasy about X going country. I LOVE the fact that the more you D-B's talk about that happening, the more you start to look like even bigger POS's when it perrenially DOESN'T happen.

So that was what, three good books in a row for X and one dip in ratings in the last survey??? Hardly a victory Eddie. Hardly a victory. As far as mornings go...I wonder what would happen if X had a real morning show????

As far as "three good books in a row":
7.3-5.8-4.8 or 8.4-7.1-6.1 depending on where you look! Damn facts!

Re: 95X In Last Place TIED w/ KROCK!

Eastlan. And they ALWAYS quote 12+ numbers, like 12+ matters to anyone that buys media.

Galaxy would get sued if they ever used Arbitron numbers because they don't pay for them. I wonder if those numbers have anything to do with the fact that Levine sits on their board??? So, how many Eastlan diaries get sent out in the cuse market?

Sorry 2 responses doesn't make a statistically valid survey.

My sources say whatever ratings service that you use 95X is in last place.Sad but true.

For those who even care about the war between 95X fans and TK fans on this board, I can tell you that in the other survey besides Eastlan, it shows that in the 12+ category Monday through Sunday, TK had almost a 2 share advantage over 95X. In men 25-54 Monday-Sunday, TK had almost a 3 share lead, a 5 share lead in morning drive, a 1 share lead in middays and about a 1/2 share lead in afternoon drive. With women 25-54 Monday-Sunday, TK 's lead is about a 5 share. Women 25-54 morning drive, TK leads by about a 5 share, the lead is almost a 7 share middays, and a 3 share lead in afternoon drive.

I assume this will reduce the back and forth guessing game about what station got what in the ratings.

X reaches a younger audience that TK. TK's main competitors in the market are B and Q which kick it's ass handily. X and Krock are tied in 8th place after having two positive books in a row.

And again, no one that buys media looks at 12+ numbers.

National buys off Arbitron. For stations like TK and X, the primary demo is Men 25-54; secondary demo is Men 21-34, especially for alcohol-beer buys. Some buys are coming in 25-49, a number used primarily for stations that sell products targeted to Women, the prime demo for Country, AC and CHR stations. Put up balanced numbers Persons 25-54 and you can pay your mortgage and feed your kids for 13 weeks. The 12+ number is a beauty contest over which only message board posters haggle. Give it up.

In particular to RockinScience....I totally understand that nobody pays attention to 12+ numbers and that is why I provided some men 25-54 information, however, the 12+ numbers are important in one way. If the 12+ numbers are up, that particular station obviously went up in some demo and if the 12+ numbers are down, the station is down in some key category.

For your statement that TK's main competition is the "B" and 93Q and both of them kick their ______. You are only partially correct. TK beat both the almighty "B" and the Q quite handily I might add in men 25-54. While the "B" and the "Q" returned the favor in women 25-54.

I wonder why X got 90% of the beer money spent in the market???

>>>>I wonder why X got 90% of the beer money spent in the market??? <<<<<

Well, bc when "beer" said...please bend over and give us 4 to 1 added value, there was only one station in the market willing and desperate enough to do it...

Today's business lesson...5 dollar rates and pimping yourself out with added value, does NOT mean you are a success!

Why so defensive Kevin...I mean Rockin. Ratings shouldn't matter anyway. It is the service and ideas you give to your customers....sorry in your case I mean low rates that you give that make the difference. Galaxy is by far more customer-focused than X. You know that.

Check SQAD if you want. The rates were solid. 4to1? Hardly.

I think 95x is sounding pretty good these days. They could use a good, solid, well known programmer in the morning to keep the little mistakes from happenin' and they would be in the clear. Will they listen?

So, who would that be?

Call sometime and find out. Im not the only one that wont specify a name here on the board. Besides...these big teams have too many hands in the pot. They may not be able to think straight long enough to understand my answer *Laughs*. 95x's answer is a simple one. It just needs execution which means telling the people in the studio to shut-up, not the listeners.
BTW Sir rox-a-lot we were all laughing here at your quick and serious response to my aircheck. We love ya mang (if ur a mang).

Yeah, "mang", my quick response was a couple of DAYS after you posted your "joke" aircheck. I agree that it was a joke. So, when you gonna post a "real" aircheck so all those people who are looking for talent can get a taste of your real abilities?

I think it's possible that you have "too many hands in the pot" all by yourself.
