The station has become unlistenable from 6-10am. Beaner and Ken, OK X staff your tried, you really did. You gave these two a shot and for over a year now you've been bailing water with them. When is enough going to be enough? They haven't made ONE person in Syracuse laugh (besides other stations at them) and its pathetic to hear their promos. Who makes these??? Isn't the point of a short promo that plays all day to show the fun highlights of a show. Everyone I've ever heard was of them laughing at some inaudible soundbite of something I have no idea about. Without question the WORST morning show in Syracuse. Hands down, no contest, not argueable. Your competitors on Walton St are LOVING YOU for keeping these rejects on the air. TK stole your audience when Stern left and you did NOTHING to stop it. Your plan was inept, timing horrific, lies to your audience, advertisers, and probably to your own staff. I pray for your sales team as they try to make a living off your programming mistakes. I hope those folks have part-time jobs or married into money. When o when will the NEWEST of the NEW GM's make a smart move? Word around the camp fire is X is trotting out new promotion after new promotion that will not be executed properly and what I'm told hasn't been well recieved by buyers. Please for the stations sake get rid of Beaner and Ken. Save what was for many of us a great station in the 80's. It can't be too late, can it?

Seems that 95X has hit bottom and in some ways that's a good thing because there's no other way to go but up. Is the morning show that rancid that it has no redeeming value?

Apparently so.

A few months ago, I spent a few days frittering away some cash at Turning Stone. Drove into the area on a Thursday evening and woke up to WSYR for weather, news and traffic on Friday. After about ten minutes, I checked in on a few other morning shows, including 95X.

Phew!

It's not so much that B&K are bad, as it is they're not really good for the station. With all due respect, just what is it that 95X is trying to do? I mean, this is (or at least, was a station with Classic Rock heritage. So, where's the Classic Rock heritage? Where's the steak that's gonna make 35-54 Men turn the radio station on and keep it on? If the morning show isn't Syracuse-centered and relevant on a consistent basis, the station isn't going to draw listeners. I mean, sure, that's Radio 101, but apparently, somebody didn't take notes during class.

'Bone will (justifiably) claim that TK has knocked the tar out of the once mighty 95X in morning drive, but that doesn't guarantee that 95X can't make a comeback. It might take a 'Bone type PD to get 95X re-focused, turned around and get some traction. 'Bone will argue that he's way ahead of the curve, but he's enough of a realist to know there's always a faster gun who'll ride into town to shake things up.

Just a point of clarification... is Bone now the PD of TK or simply the spokesperson of all Galaxy (at least the one who uses his real name).

A 'Bone type of PD wouldn't be stupid enough to put him/herself in a position like that. It's the Kobayashi Maru of Rock Gigs.
