96.1 KISS slowing down the songs

I noticed last night that 96.1 KISS slowed down their songs to almost normal speed. Sounds great. We are also seeing a more balanced playlist on KISS thanks in part to the major changes on the Billboard charts. Another two thumbs up.

Apparantly they had their songs jacked up to 3% - maybe it's now 2%? Can't see them doing regular speed.

I didn't really notice. It sounded the same to me. Now, may be you were listening to Most Requested? Primeer has the songs play at an almost normal speed for their shows.

It was only Wednesday night during Bonics. Last night (Thursday) it was back to their normal speeding up mode. :( Oh well...It was nice while it lasted.

Must be a CC CHR thing. Where I live in Michigan, I can barely hear Channel 955 Detroit and 92.5 Kiss FM Toledo and they both run about 3%. I'm not against radio stations pitching their music up to an extent, but anything higher than 3% is too much! The only problem I have with it is that when you hear the song as it's supposed to sound, it doesn't even sound the same. It almost sounds dull compared to the jacked-up sound of it.
