96.1 vs 98.5 question

So 98.5 for me is that spanish translator.
I can move the antenna to get B 98-5 WBBO, but I can't get it clear anymore like I used to be able to.
Why not?
96.1 I can get which is 900 AM translator, but can also move it to still be able to pull in Cat country 96 WCTO too.

The two translators are at much different locations. I presume you're talking about the 98.5 that is on the 94.5 WPST tower in Langhorne with a pattern mostly going north/south. 96.1 is in West Philadelphia. Why you can receive one but not the other depends where you're located.

Hey Lance,
I'm in Bensalem with a rooph top antenna on a 30 foot mast.
So I'm guessing that the 98.5 in Langhorne is blocking the what. southeat? direction that I used to be able to point the antenna to for WBBO?
96.1 being its West Philadelphia is a bit further away, since I'm outside the Northeast.
This, BTW is on a Sony XDR-F1HD.
I can get both 96.1's on the Rotel RT-1084 and while I haven't checked on the Carver TX-11B yet I probably can on that too.
I've even tried amplifying the signal to no luck on WBBO. .Translators are taking away all of the DX! not that that matters to most people...
John

96.1 beams its super highly direction signal southeast, just like most new Philly move-ins, because they are all on the same frequencies as LV long time signals, and must protect them(joke). I have picked up 96.1 in Lakehurst, 50 some miles away but just NW of their city line transmitter, nothing, they really messed up Cat Country in those areas where Cat was listenable.
