As I was scanning the FM dial in N.O. around Noon today, my scan stopped at 96.3. It was in and out of stereo, with a clear signal and a couple of test patterns put out. Possibly a new station in Choc City??
If I remembered they had a station apply for a experimental license there years ago but haven't heard anything about it since. Nothing on the FCC website for 96.3
That and I don't think they can put a full power 96.3 in town anyway.. IF rules (people who know how a radio works will understand that).... 10.7 MHZ down is the video of WDSU ...So I don't think the FCC may allow it possibly
There is a translator licensed in Meraux however at 96.5 broadcasting Ministry but it's transmitter is supposed to be at English Turn
Thanks Guys, but I talked to somone at WDSU and he explained that my radio scan maybe stopped on that frequency and detected the video broadcast, but of course, could not hear it. So, I was maybe not losing my mind!!
