96.3 The Block signal

Any ideas why the signal for 96.3 is so bad to the southeast compared to 98.5 and especially 99.5? In the Fairview/Harrison Bridge area of Simpsonville, even over to W. Georgia and Standing Springs, it's really bad and has noticeable static. I know it's outside the 60dbu, but 99.5 and mostly 98.5 are almost crystal clear in these areas. On paper the signals look about the same and I know they broadcast from the same spot on Paris.

Heck, even in Mauldin to Woodruff Rd there are static blips, something I've never noticed on 99.5. Don't listen to 98.5 really but their signal seems solid as well.

Their transmitting antenna may be more directional or have certain nulls to the south and east, but I am just speculating here. But different stations have different types of transmitting antennas that result in different signal patterns and coverage areas, even if they are broadcasting from the same location. As I am sure you may know. Or there could be adjacent channel interference from 96.1 from Charlotte, which has a strong full power signal.

The HD sidebands of 96.1 could be an issue, since they extend into 95.9 and 96.3. There's a translator to the southeast in Clinton on 96.5 (WPCC 1410). Also to the south is co-channel 96.3 WKSP from Aiken.

The Block’s signal pattern at 96.3 on paper is essentially the same as 97.7, 98.5 and 99.5, but there definitely has to be some interference issues from 96.1 etc. There is a null to the north on 96.3 which I assume is to protect 96.5 WOXL in Asheville.
