96.3 WXNY audio impact

The Spanish station is now pretty much as loud as possible. Here in NW NJ I like to listen to Cat Country 96 once in a while and it's now much more difficult to tune in because of 96.3. Not much better trying to tune in WXTU in Philly which is now hammered by 92.3 Now.

96.3 used to be classical which meant the average modulation is low.
Get the Insignia HD radio if you want to get 96.1, it has the best selectivity of any portable radio I have.

They did one thing right. They completely battered Streetz 96 to go off air. Never heard from them again.

If 105.9 wasn't in HD and carried this classical format in low modulation, chances are I would be able to get 106.1 WBLI really well in NE Jersey.....I used to get WBLI pretty well in spots years back but since the start of HD, they are pretty much gone.

It's Streetz 96.7 now

And does it matter if you get BLI in NJ or not? Tune into the other 8 CHR stations!

I don't listen to CHR stations.....I was just making a point that we would be able to get 106.1 if 105.9 had low modulation and wasn't in HD.....Plus we don't have as many CHR stations like you guys have to the south.....But we are filled with AC's like you guys (96.7 WCTZ, 97.5 WALK, 98.3 WKJY, 99.9 WEZN, 100.7 WHUD, 102.7 WWFS, 103.9 WFAS-FM/106.3 WFAF, 106.7 WLTW, 107.9 WEBE, 1230 WFAS, 1300 WRCR).

It's Streetz 96.7 now

That explains why WCTZ has signal issues toward the south now.

Oh damn, so much for the Streetz to be demised. I'm gonna be in Elizabeth this weekend, so I'll check it out myself.
