With the start-up of this station, a question hasn't been posed:

Could this start-up mean actual competition with NewsRadio WLW, as in having real competition (ala WLW vs WCKY)?

If so, this should be an interesting 4th quarter and 2007!

This town needs competition.

It makes a nice adjunct to WGRR's older male listeners, and can also be sold as a package to WGRR buyers. I don't think head-on competition is part of the early game plan - but then I didn't really think FM talk was going to fill the void left by the Star's departure, and yet here it is. Regardless, it's nice to have ownership other than Clear Channel behind a Cincinnati talk station.

If they went local during afternoon drive, It could really take off. I would've liked a more Hot Talk approach with D&M or Tom Leykis. Sporting News Radio is not what I call a ratings getter.
