96.5

I can usually pick up 96.5 (The Mountain/Kiss FM) from Chattanooga while driving in Cobb and Cherokee counties. However, as of late, there has been a Spanish formatted station that has bled onto that frequency. At first I thought that 96.5 had changed formats but that wasn't the case.

I looked up on Radio-locator.com to see what station it could be but found no answer. I know that sunspot activity has been at a high recently. It does not seem to be an LPFM or a translator.

Anybody have any possible answers?

Nope, it's Davis Broadcasting's new translator on the 97.1/95.5 tower. It's called La Mega 96.5, and it's programming a Spanish Contemporary format to complement the Regional Mexican format on La Raza/102.3, which they also own. Check out my blog for more: http://www.atlairwaves.blogspot.com

What is the translator translating? 100.1 or an HD-2?
