96.7 emf translator in park ridge

I saw a modification granted in the FCC daily digest for W244BQ in park ridge. In the application they state they are planning to get the audio for the translator from WSRI in Suger Grove IL. (88.7).

I can only guess this is to their advantage to put this in the application? Later will they accept the laws of physics and feed the translator another way?

They can't feed it another way...except that if they are non-profit. As the main station is on a non-comm freq they are allowed to send audio to the xlator any way they want to. Comm stations must feed from the main signal, via reception
over the air. Question is: who cares about hearing that station in Park Ridge?

Funny but that translator won't throw much of a signal over the COL of Park Ridge, but there has been a lot of that going on with these translators lately. There is a translator on 89.3 which transmits from somewhere around Markham or Crestwood with a COL of University Park. That translator can't be heard in any part of University Park.
