96.7 Flip Sunday or Monday?

Well Rumors have it as the 30th As the Flip date.
Question is
What time? 12:00AM? Or when Ron is on GM Texas
Midnight would be "Sunday" Monday would be When Ron is On.
What are your guesses?

Platinum 96.7 launches Monday, June 30 at 5:30 am.

Larry Dixon and Gail Lightfoot, 5:30-9am. Ops Manager Vic Thomas, 9am-3pm. Wendi Westbrook, 3-7pm, Angie Michaels, 7pm-Midnight.

Lookout KLUV... this is gonna be great!

Yeah it'll be great for the folks suffering from insomnia. Sounds like it'll be a more-or-less copy of Magic 102.9 KMGC.

I don't think CBS is all that worried, quite honestly. Citadel may be able to take some listeners from KLUV and/or 'VIL, but the signal still blows so any damage will be limited by that.

Yep. I am just west of the airport and I can't even get it clear on the receiver in the house... and I have an antenna hooked up. :-\

If there A Format Flip What Is It Going to be

Preliminary indications are it will be some sort of soft rock format, like soft rock oldies or soft AC oldies.

Like Jeff said.... "THE NAP" :D

I'm in East Dallas and I can get it but not very well. I usually have to default my FM radio to Mono mode. It's staticy and choppy in Stereo. Meanwhile KLUV comes blaring through loud and clear.

The Twister Becomes Platinum 96.7; Chapman Returns To Consult

Legendary DALLAS radio personality RON CHAPMAN makes his return to DALLAS/FORT WORTH radio today with the launch of PLATINUM 96.7, formerly CITADEL Country KTYS (THE TWISTER). The station's format will shift from Country to a play list primarily comprised of early Rock and Roll classics from the 60s and 70s but will also include hits from the 50s and early 80s. CHAPMAN, who spent more than 45 years as an on-air personality in the market and is a member of the TEXAS RADIO HALL OF FAME, will serve in a consulting role and be responsible for putting together the station's talent, imaging and music.

"The opportunity to play architect and create a new station in the METROPLEX from the ground up is a new and exciting challenge for me," said CHAPMAN. "We see a niche here that we can fill by offering listeners a play list that includes a more extensive library. We'll be keeping alive music that some others have forgotten with vintage hits from artists like BUDDY HOLLY, BOBBY DARIN and EARLY ELVIS. But we'll also have some fun with more recent sounds like ELTON JOHN, EAGLES and THE DOOBIES."

CHAPMAN began his career in DALLAS radio in 1959 at KLIF as a member of the "CHARLIE and HARRIGAN" team. CHAPMAN joined KVIL in 1969 where he would remain a fixture for 32 years. In 2000 he became the morning host at KLUV and remained there until he retired from broadcasting in 2005.
