96.7 FM Kids radio station"Now streaming"

Just wanted everyone know that the kids were on WTSP channel 10 on 7/31/07 and then on CNN headline news on 8/1/07. They are now streaming thanks to a local business DYNAMIC SOLUTIONS GROUP. You can hear them by going on www.wkid967fm.com then click on hear us live. Kids are on between 8 and 9pm reading the local news, and noon on saturday and sunday reading the classifieds. Enjoy! Rodger and the kids.

That's a really amatuerish looking page. Like something that would have been made in 1999. [EDIT]

Man Bovine,
Seems pretty harsh considering THEY ARE KIDS. Seems you just don't get it. These are a bunch of kids who are INTERESTED in radio. How many young people give a crap about the medium anymore? I would think you would want to encourage them. Maybe even offer some "constructive" advice as to how to go about it. I've read your profile and previous posts. It's one thing to be negative to the pro's doing radio. But, to be that way with kids is wrong.
Flame away.....

Well, Mad Cow... There's a good reason for this. They are amateurs!

Go pull your earliest aircheck and listen to it. What did it sound like? Take a look at your first web page. What did it look like?

I wish I had the opportunity that they have when I was ten years old. I would have given anything to be able to broadcast on anything more powerful than a Batman walkie-talkie at that age. I had to wait until college before I had the opportunity to work on the air at a real radio staion. As I see it, if these kids really have the "radio bug", then hopefully they will stick with it. They have been given a great head start in the business. Kudos to the kids, and the grown-ups who support them.

Also, kudos to the donors of the website. It may not be a major dot com, but then again, we aren't talking about a major mulitmedia corporation here, are we?

I'm tuned in online right now, and the station sounds pretty darn good! You can hit the scan button on your radio, and hear a lot worse from many commercial radio stations.

Tune in for yourself. I was pleasantly surprised with what I heard. The sweepers are excellent as well. One of those kids does a pretty good Jeff Laurence imitation!
