96.7 in Greenville

Is 96.7/WBZT in Greenville operated by Clear Channel or have they sold the time out to someone (like WLFJ/WGVL)? I was thinking someone said a long time ago that WLFJ-FM was running it or something.

Shame that this station has to pretty much just be a duplicate of four or five other stations in the area.

I have listened to WBZT and frankly it sounds like nothing else in the Christian market. It is owned by Clear Channel and has a LMA with WLFJ. I wish that we had that kind of Christian Top 40 station here inthe Columbia area. I would definitely listen to it and do listen to 96.7 when I am in the Greenville area.

Correction. WBZT is not LMA'd to WLFJ. WBZT is owned and programmed by Clear Channel. WLFJ leases the 660 frequency from Clear Channel for their Christian Talk station.

I stand corrected because I had been given the impression that it was a LMA like what they were doing with 660.

Don't know if it's the same thing, but I think 91.7 (which is an LP in Irmo) has the Air One Christian top 40 format.

It is a shame that I cannot pick it up over here in Pine Ridge because I would give it a listen, but my biggest problem is that i live about one half mile from WYFV's transmitter and they even over ride WMHK

Lhsh. You indirectly make a good point. God is going to have to make a choice. Radio that is supported by listener and Church donations through prayer requests and long form radiothon style broadcasts. OR, Christian Music that people worship (no pun intended) in a commercial driven arena. Even people who love God drive Toyotas.

What an interesting post here on the day we are reading about the loss of George Carlin. He could have done a wild and woolly satire on "God having to make a choice". ;D
