96.7 is now both Positive And Encouraging.

W244BY, K-Love's 27-Watt translator in Midtown, is now on the air. I noticed it today while I was in carpool line at St. Mary's, where the signal was OK, at best.

Out East, the signal is tough. In fact, in Germantown, the signal often loses to Bolivar. But, for Midtowners, the signal should be great, as it city grades that area reasonably well. The transmitter is near the picturesque spot where Park & Lamar come together.

Enjoy.

I knew this was coming soon, but I wasn't sure exactly when. I guess the next question will be when the changes for 94.9 will happen, and if one of the Memphis translators will carry Air 1.

Has the translator on 105.5 in Millington ever come on? I'm beginning to wonder if Radio Assist, who owns it now, could end up selling it to become a translator for an AM station if the FCC goes through with allowing it. WAY-FM ended up selling off their translators for Jackson and Martin to stations that may end up doing that as well.

no sign of it on a clock radio here
1 stereo gets it fairly well but not a fully quiet signal
the other you have to switch to mono
i'm near union & 240
94.7 is much stronger at my location

96.7 is one of the placed i check to see if the band is open

we are loosing our open spots remaining 1 by 1

I was able to pick up the signal this morning in my truck in SE Shelby County / NE DeSoto County.

It was fighting with another signal, but had moments of clarity.
