96.7 is Now KTCK-FM

No offense, but Platinum WAS a yawn.

Just out of curiosity, why was 104.1 KTDK and not KTCK-FM if the slogan is The Ticket?

And yes, I liked Platinum 96.7 too. Miami and Tampa both support stations (WFEZ and WDUV) that specialize in the softer hits of the 70s and 80s with an occasional 60s song a couple of times per hour.

When the little Ticket had the tri-fecta of 1700-AM, 1310-AM and 104.1-FM up and running,
the calls were:

KTBK 1700-AM
KTCK 1310-AM
KTDK 104.1-FM

Speculation: the D of the 104.1 calls might have been relevant to it being in Denton County... or not.

And a bunch of couch potato slobs calling in with their opinions about sports isn't a yawn fest? Sheesh. What a waste of a frequency.

That's top 5 25-54 men and making money hand over fist.

I challenge rbruce to count the number of phone calls the Ticket actually takes in a day.

Except for Norm, you might not run out of fingers.

Oh goodie - radio for IQ's under 70. Around my house - NFL stands for "Not For Long".

There you go again generalizing. Okay so you don't like sports radio, but don't think because someone who is a fan of the format is dumb or uneducated. For someone who professes to be a Christian, Mr. Carter, you sure do a lot of judging of folk.

Wasn't another thread on here about how the ticket degenerated to fart jokes or something? I think that makes my point for me.

That's to you. KTCK is not your cup of tea, that is cool. But don't say that anyone who listens to KTCK is uneducated or has a low IQ. Their billing says otherwise. I don't think anyone who is dumb would spend their money advertising on the radio station or using the products/services that the station advertises.

Oh yes!

Has been since the move to Victory. Sounds great. It was mentioned on air by Danny after the move saying the drops sounded different in stereo. Not sure about 104.1. Not my neck of the woods.
