96.7 joliet files to move its antenna

Looks like they have filed to move the antenna to the east into lockport? using a directional
antenna. The app says only 80% of Joliet will have a certain level of signal after the move.

Could this be the same antenna site that is on the application for the WAIT night array?

No, it is the tower owned by Mid America Towers at 159th and Ceder between Lockport and Homer Glen.

The purpose of the move is to get a city grade signal into Naperville so that advertising can be sold as a combo with WERV in Aurora.

If it weren't for LaPorte, IN and WWDV, no directional antenna would be required. (10 db null toward LaPorte, 6 db null toward WWDV)

The city of license will remain Joliet. Though a studio move to co-locate the station with WERV is being contemplated.
