96.7 The Coast Website

The TPO of the transmitter from the top of the trump will be 3.2KW
the antenna is a ERI 3bay 1/2 wave spaced. From the view from the top of the Trump building
I would think it should do well into the city. I can see the city very well from the roof.
Also you have to remember that their are very tall buildings around might cause some multipath.
At the time we ran the transmitter test I did not have anybody drive into the city.
I did have one person drive back to Bridgeport CT on 95 and took the signal all the way back
With a little noise in the signal in Bridgeport.

@Nick: I disagree... Launch the new Christian contemporary format on 96.7 on May 21. :p

Oh wow, that's a brilliant idea. Get all the pissed off Family Radio listeners when they realize they've been lied to for months.

Ed was there anyone in NJ at the time you did the signal test?.....At the present moment 96.7 comes in pretty well in many areas (except if there are any pirates on air).....I am wondering how much further it's going to reach once it moves.

From Essex County, NJ I used to be able to get The Coast very well, but then a very strong pirate on 96.7 moved into the area last summer.

If you log into the FCC web site put in the call letters WCTZ in the FM station data base click on detail for the station you can look a the current site 60 dbu coverage map and than look a the new site 60 dbu
coverage map that will give you a idea were the signal will be the best.

I don't think so! LOL! For the people who listen to the lifeless music on "Family" Radio, the music played on K-Love will be a REAL SHOCKER! ;)

"Family" Radio is somewhat akin to "Beautiful music". K-Love is more like to Top 40.

I think a fairer comparison would be to call music on Camping's station classical with vocals, whereas K-Love is more straight AC. K-Love's sister network Air1 is closer to top 40/hot AC.
