The problem IS the signal, that it's actually allowed to get out beyond the farmland that the tower sits in.
Twister was created to make a one-two punch (KSCS [skewing older] plus KTYS [skewing younger]) to knock over KPLX. While the numbers, when added together, do exceed KPLX, it's not by much. And try to sell a spot on Twister for the KSCS price. Ain't happening.
This little experiment has run its course. The Young Country format has run its course. Now let's get back to "Memories 96.7" or some other canned ABC Radio format and get back to business. Recess is over. I know Chulo and Peck and, God bless 'em, they've tried to make something happen over there, but the station will never be anything more than a bottom feeder, regularly beaten by 27 other stations. The format was a dumb, outdated idea at the time, and time has shown that it's just not going to ever happen there. I don't know where else the young rednecks are tuning to, but it's not there.
