96.7 WCEI's Poor Analog Audio

This has been the case for a few months, or at least since they turned on HD, but their analog audio is low and kind of muddy. My wife, who is their target audience, has noticed and seldom listens to the station now. "I can barely hear it" Sure turning the volume up helps but when scanning presets its an easy skip compared to other stations.

Interesting enough their HD audio sounds pretty good, even with sister station WINX on the HD2. I'm just puzzled why their analog audio, where the vast majority of listeners are, sounds so awful. Check it out Forever, it's bad.

I know exactly what you mean. Visiting family in baltimore recently, and I tuned to 96.7. Very undermodulated, quiet, poor stereo separation. Needs stereotool help big time.
