96.7 WCTZ Applies to Move TX to Yonkers Instead of Long Island

Well it looks like 96.7 WCTZ Port Chester wants to move their transmitter to Yonkers instead of Long Island...Not sure what transmitter they are going to broadcast from but it looks like it won't be too far from where 93.5 WVIP-FM currently broadcasts from.

The Antenna site is going to be on the property of the Archdiocese of New York in Yonkers.(based on the coordinates 40° 47' 28.00" N Latitude 73° 40' 6.00 " W Longitude ) The Saint Joseph's Seminary has a tower used for ITV which is an educational channel for the Archdiocese.

For what it's worth, parts of LI, particularly in Nassau County and the North Shore, likely will still get a strong signal on 96.7, similar to WRTN on 93.5, which comes in pretty well in these areas. That is, if pirate stations don't wreck their havoc in the meantime!
