96.9 Boston Talks unveils new site

http://www.969bostontalks.com

Looks spiffy.
A little while back "Boston's Talk Evolution" changed its slogan to "96.9 Boston Talks". Good, gets frequency in there, mentions city and format. (Not that ratings have been all that good up to now...) And oddly enough one of the bumpers WRKO has run for awhile has Dana Hersey saying, "Boston talks...on Boston's talk station".
Hmm! They could say "we had it first" but that was something on a bumper, not a full fledged slogan.

I will say that WTKK has quite a few more hours of local talk vs. WRKO (as to whether they're good or not...)
WRKO daily has 7.5 hours (3.5 of Finneran and Feinburg, 4 of Howie) while WTKK goes local from 7 am to
10 pm (E&B, Graham, Severin, McPhee) ; 15 hours.

Not as redundant as the one WABC/New York used to use a lot: "If you're talking about it, we're talking about it..."

The new site does like nice especially after the long wait. One thing I noticed going through it is that there is limited on demand podcasts and none for the weekend shows.

I like the new website, I notice that Greater Media stations are now using Emmis Interactive for their websites.

I realize that they don't directly control the contents of banner ads but I couldn't help notice that the new site has a large ad at the top from Beth Israel Deaconess asking "What's Causing Your Headaches?" followed by the masthead of the site which reads "96.9 Boston Talks", seemingly replying to the ad.
