96.9 KDVB Topeka Upgrading

Anyone know why they didn't go up to 150 meters? It's only at 114, so they're not getting the full potential of their license. I've read class C2s can go to 150 meters with 50,000 watts.

Silence now with the transmitter still on... Stunting must have run into problems. Hope they can fix it by launch time.
By the way, I found a stream link, but like the FM the stream currently isn't playing anything. KQRB

I'm not sure but I think I heard them doing this dead air yesterday too.

Also someone on Facebook may have correctly guessed their format. Look at the comments, specifically the ones about the streaming. Someone wasn't careful enough to cover the new format up. Log into Facebook
"I inspected the element on their stream when they briefly stopped for a PSA about the upcoming voting registration deadline, and it said "96-9 The Beat"

Basically hip-hop/R&B.

They're back on FM, however just construction sounds and announcements. The online stream was up for a minute but has since gone down, probably will be up and down?

I was gonna try to record the new format launch and submit it to FormatChange.com. If the stream isn't up by noon, who knows if a recording will be available?
