96.9 KPPC-LP?

I'll check in sometimes to their online stream, and last weekend it was silent but now is playing just an equipment humming/buzzing noise.

Is the station still doing ok FM wise? I know the founder passed away earlier this year, so if not I understand.

The following was posted on their website.
"Due to technical issues Worship live streaming and regular broadcasting is unavailable at this time. Worship services will be available online only on this link."

I'm not sure if 96.9 is on right now, but I imagine not. Hope they can fix whatever's broken...

Their streaming is back online at least... At least partially. There's just a humming sound.

Anyone know what that sound means? If it goes down again by the time you hear it, it sounds like a guitar amp sometimes does when it's audio cable is not connected to the instrument, or cheap PA systems also make that noise. There's a B musical note that is also constantly present in KNIU-LP's on-air audio on 97.7 Kansas City, but KNIU only has the B note not the others.
It's electrical problems I'm guessing from what I've heard, ground loops messing with the analog audio cables maybe. They should consider using digital connections (maybe USB or optical). What Is the Optical Audio Port, and When Should I Use It?

Even HDMI, if their transmitter supports it.

I showed the stream to an audiophile I know... He said it's unmistakably a machine with active WiFi, connected to a crappy USB audio fob.

I thought WiFi was rarely supposed to be used for connections to FM transmitters. It disconnects sometimes. Better to use ethernet/wired directly.

KPPC-LP is down both on FM and streaming, due to technical issues and equipment failure... They have some help however, and should be back up in a couple weeks.

WiFi is only employable over short distances, such as a small to medium size home. If an office or building or airport or the like has WiFi, it actually has a bunch of wired re-transmitters all over the location.

You can't use it over the sort of distances employed for an STL, which appears to be your concern.

I know. I meant the device sending out the STL from the studio probably had WiFi going to the studio's internet modem.
