96.9 MHz in Denver & Boulder

New station launching in June?
If so, I dunno what format it would have unless it's to become the new FM-only home to KCKK-AM 1510 (But they've already got 93.7 for that)

Short of that, I can't imagine what would go there

JMO though....

Cheers : D

Maybe whoever is launching it will start up a new Progressive talker on FM to compete with Clear Channel-owned KKZN (If they don't simply SELL the station to the owner of 96.9) since Clear Channel is so hell bent on carrying (And DEFENDING TO THE TEETH) the racist, chauvenistic pig, whatever you wanna call him RUSH LIMBAUGH !!!!!

Whaddya think? ;D

Cheers :D

i just looked in the FCC database, and there is no 96.9 for either Denver or Boulder.. Is this a Lower Power FM?
Nope, nothing listered either under the Lower Power FM listenings either. So it has to be a pirate station.

Don't forget to check other Front Range towns.

Obviously, there's KCCY-FM Pueblo, but this is nowhere near enough to Denver to provide any service there. (and there's nothing on the books to move any further north)

There's also KIMX-96.7 Laramie, Wyoming which holds a permit to move to 96.9 from a site near Wellington. (but that one's going to be weak in Boulder & probably non-existent in Denver too)

What it probably is... is translator K245AD, Arvada. This station is licensed to operate from a site east of the Boulder airport.
