96 Rock-Jennifer Reed

Did anyone catch Jennifer Reed's debut in PM Drive yesterday? I think she comes across very well on the air. She is more blatantly sexual than we may be used to from our female air talent in this market. I can't imagine Kaedy Kiley saying "Bone it like you own it."Any thoughts on her first day?

only to say what I heard I liked, however, I wish to hear more of her. Seemed liked they played 20 minutes of music between her opening up her mic. I'm not saying music is bad, but you bring in someone with a lot of expectations, let's hear what she's got.

She seemed a little nervous the first hour, but the rest of the show she was more calm and relaxed. The phrase "bone it like you own it" and "Rock and Reed experience" was part of her of her jargon at KBDN 93.3 the Bone, in Dallas. so that is where that come from. I think she will be a good asset since the demo's is a male dominated station. I still miss Kaedy, she will always be part of Atl radio history.

Haven't had a chance to catch her yet. But I like what I hear from everyone. Let's hope that Clear Channel doesn't neuter her like they did the Regular Guys.Would be nice to have a female voice on the air with balls! haven't had one since Infinity put the leash on Mara Davis.

I thought she sounded pretty good for a first try. She did not sound comfortable, but that is to be expected

She sounds good...but they really don't allow her to say much.Like Fin, Jennifer is basically limited to only talking about the next Braves game and the 96rock Workforce Payroll. Allright, we understand they don't want the amount of talk that formerly exsisted in the afternoons, but let's hear their opinions a little bit more...the next Fleetwood Mac song can wait!

Buzz Casey's modus operandi was to minimize "personality" from the music portion of 96rock; thus, goodbye to Southside & Rhodes. But he sounds like he hired the type of jock who listeners might want to learn more about personality-wise. If she becomes insanely popular, he might give her more leeway down the road. But for now, his "it's the music, stupid" approach could also be a partial reaction to the early success of jockless 97.1/The River. It's that perpetual debate between the "more music, less talk" strategy and the "more personality to differentiate from the iPod" direction. 96rock is basically three radio stations -- an FM talk in the mornings, a classic rock station during the day and a sports station when the Braves are on.
