96 Rock on HD 2 gone?

Lord knows, Maybe Cox is paying very little attention to there HD stations. Maybe something happened to the transmitter and Cox figures nobody listens or has HD Radio anyways. Its a shame that the HD2 isn't rocking out anymore. Given the only other alternative to 96.5 HD2 is JRR. The HD stations that Cox does have are running on playlist from 3 or more years.

CBS seems to push the HD Technology the most, with all of the ad's I've heard to buy HD Radios on Q105 and such.

'twould be nice here in SoFla to have DX opportunites on the adjacents of Cox's 93.1, 97.3, 99.1, and 105.1. :D

96 ROCK has been gone for a while. It was only around for a few weeks after the WDBO-FM launch until someone decided it shouldn't be.

A few weeks after the WDBO-FM launch, prior to the 96.5 HD-2 vanishing, it sat quiet for days with no carrier audio on either the HD signal nor the online stream specifically left for it. Then the stream address and HD-2 station were dismantled around the same time and have been gone ever since, along with the 96 ROCK website and... eventually the WHTQ call letters landed on 96.7FM Whiting, WI around Jan 10th. Since then the whtq.com domain has been pointed to an address that doesn't produce a website... yet other subdomains (Streaming.whtq.com) still manage to work... and the short-lived 96rockorlando.com domain doesn't go anywhere, yet Cox still controls both of them.

By the way, the domain 96rockSorlando.com goes to wjrr.com. :) What a clever buy that was. ::)

My comment was intened to be a pun. You had stated you "... don't get it..." when you said the HD 2 signal is no longer in operation. My comment was you won't "get it" if it isn't there although I understand that you really meant you didn't understand why the signal isn't there.
