96 rock RIP

first it was klol. then it was wrno. now death of a legend. 96 rock wkls atlanta flips tomorrow morning at 9am to ?? clear channel really is a horrible company.

i gave up on 'dem over sized mega-corporations a looooong time ago.

funny........now cheap channel is in trouble financially. ..........like pac man.......... they tried to gobble up as many as whatever they could! radio stations, tv stations, and cable companies, as well as bllboard companies and other businesses.

i wouldnt be suprised if they spin out of control and tried to buy a retail outlet sometime soon like wal-mart or something! could you imagine..............they'd offer us only a few over priced products, by one or two brands cause "the CONsultants said that's what everbody would like". then they'd be clear channel products & comminucations. lol ::) ;D j/k

Not all is lost---it's Project 9-6-1...active rock.

thats what 1041 SHOULD sound like!!! all is not lost in atlanta. thats one ass kicking rock station! but they are playing dream on as i type this ???

Yet as I listen to the station, It sounds like 104.1 would if you had a grip on the playlist? It's basically the same music as on 104.1 right now.. just that they roll in a few classic tracks whereas 104.1 looks to apparently roll in alt. rock tracks instead...

That's why I say give 104.1 some time to build... basically CC Atlanta had staff pretty much in house already whereas CC NOLA only has those at WRNO which was probably watered down at the end...

Apparently 104 was built around Rod Ryan as an anchor and a format that was missing in NOLA, Whereas Project 96.1 is apparently in a rebuilding phase.
