96 Rock

Re: 96 Rock is no more as of Friday AM

Maybe this is my fault- Pat was originally hired to replace me as the marketing director. Of course, I had only moved into Mark Cooper's old job about a year earlier when he went into sales... so LET'S BLAME COOP! ;D

Tom, you're right- Cheryl was the best. By the way, who is Mr. 13013?

Re: 96 Rock is no more as of Friday AM

I'm sure Pat was told to fire Rude and Willard by people above him. I'm pretty sure that was before Gene Romano entered the scene.

At the time, I thought Pat was not a nice person because of the firings and some callous-sounding quotes he gave to the AJC. But I've gotten to know Pat since he's been at WSB-TV, and he's actually a really nice, great guy. Cheryl is great too.

One of the following statements will be true:

The last song on 96rock will be "Freebird".
O.J. Simpson killed his wife.

Sounds eerily familiar... up in Raleigh/Greensboro when CC blew up 106.1 RDU, "Freebird" was the last song played before going country as "106.1 The Rooster"...
